Chubb appoints vice president for trade credit, opens new office

Chubb Global Markets, the London-based wholesale insurance division of Chubb, has opened a new office in Chicago that will be headed by Peter Hunter, vice president for trade credit. 

Hunter joins from American International Group (AIG), where he has served as regional underwriting manager for trade credit since 2004. In his new role, he will report to Fredrik Murer, head of Americas, political risk and credit.

Reporting to Hunter will be Yoon Koh, who has been appointed as senior underwriter for trade credit. Koh also joins from AIG, where he was regional underwriting manager for trade credit, based in New York.

The new  Chicago hub will strengthen the insurer’s presence across the US Midwest region with particular focus on the industrial sector.

Further expansion

In addition, Chubb has also appointed Brennan Elio as assistant vice president, trade credit in the New York office.

Elio also joins from AIG, where he spent 10 years in various finance, accounting, and credit risk roles. He most recently served as regional underwriting manager for trade credit.

Elio will report to Murer.
