SocGen’s global transaction banking division (SG GTB) has promoted Agnes Joly to global head of trade services, based in Paris.

Joly was previously the deputy head of trade services. She will now be responsible for the strategic development of SocGen’s trade finance business internationally and will report to Christian Behaghel, head of global transaction banking.

Joly replaces Thierry Roehm, who has moved to a senior advisory role within SG GTB, where he will focus on digital innovation in trade finance. He will also represent SocGen in international trade finance banking organisations.

Joly joined SocGen in 1984, beginning her career as a junior maths expert for export finance and then as a FX derivative sales manager in the capital market division.

She has held several positions within the bank since then, joining the trade finance division in March 2016 as deputy head in charge of commercial activities worldwide.

Joly is a graduate from HEC Business School with a master’s degree in international business.
