Marsh has appointed David Jacob as CEO Asia, based in Singapore. Jacob has been an executive at Marsh for 26 years, most recently serving as Asia sales and specialty leader. Prior to that, he was CEO of Marsh Hong Kong and the Philippines.

The appointment follows a realignment of Marsh's Asia-Pacific/Middle East division, which used to be headed by Martin South, into three regional units.

Scott Leney will continue to serve as CEO of Marsh Pacific, based in Sydney. Stephen Lundin will remain CEO of Marsh Middle East, based in Dubai. Both will now report to John Doyle, president of Marsh.

Martin South has also been appointed as president of the US and Canada division, effective September 1. South will be based in Marsh’s New York office and will also report to Doyle. He replaces Rob Bentley, who has transitioned to work on other initiatives across Marsh & McLennan Companies’ Risk and Insurance Services (RIS).

South previously served as CEO of Marsh’s Asia Pacific region, a position he has held since 2013. Prior to that he was CEO of Marsh UK & Ireland.
